therapy for lasting change

Online therapy throughout North Carolina

Life doesn’t always work out the way you planned.

You are doing your best to move past your pain. But the harder you work and the more you try, the worse it gets. You are out of ideas and if we are being honest, it isn’t getting better.

  • There is always too much to do, and not enough time to do it in. You may not even remember a time when you didn’t feel overwhelmed and exhausted.

Maybe you worry that something bad it going to happen. Perhaps you even have a good reason to think it might. But the thoughts take over and that feeling in the pit of your stomach just grows. Even if you can find some time to relax, it seems like you have forgotten how.

You are so stressed out that little things might set you off. You tell yourself that you are going to be more patient, more understanding and more compassionate. But you lose your patience and then snap at people. It’s all just too much.

  • You know yourself well enough to know that certain things will trigger you. What doesn’t make sense is why your emotional responses feel so big. It seems out of proportion to what is happening now, and yet it threatens to take you over. You don’t know what to do with all of these extreme emotions, so you shove them down and hope they will go away. But they never do.

  • You want to feel connected with your loved ones, but instead you feel frustrated, guilty or resentful. You might find yourself losing your patience and snapping at people because you are just so worn out. You feel alone and disconnected and don’t know how to fix it.

  • You’ve been applying all the same skills that got you through the crisis. Work hard, do more, be better. But the harder you try, the worse it gets. Instead of finding relief, you are more exhausted every day.

I’m amy.

I believe you can find relief.

I provide deep healing work for people who are stuck in survival mode. Together we can get to the root of whatever is bothering you so that you can resolve it, rather than pushing it away.

I know, that doesn’t even seem possible right now. And I’m not going to lie, this work is hard and messy. But it is possible. You can find freedom from those thoughts, feelings and memories and you don’t have to try and keep doing this on your own.
